On-site (Client-site) Training

• We will send a trainer to you to provide instruction at your site for up to six staff members.
  
  
• Cost: Trainer's travel expenses (including airfare, car rental, hotel accommodations, and food). Call for pricing. Your training environment must meet minimum hardware and software requirements to support the application and include a computer for each trainee. HealthLine Systems client support can provide this information to your IS Department.
  
  
• Client-site training means your staff doesn't have to spend time traveling and they train in a familiar environment using your data.

San Diego (HLS-site) Training

• For less of a per-day cost, you can send up to six staff members for instruction with one of our trainers in San Diego.
  
  
• Call for pricing. We provide lunch, while you are responsible for your other expenses (including airfare, hotel accommodations, and meals other than lunch).
  
  
• Our training hardware and software environment is preset to maximize the performance of our application. There are no interruptions, allowing for a focused training experience. We can train using a copy of your data.

Web-Based Training

• The most flexible and reasonably priced alternative is Web-based training. Web-based training is available in two-hour increments using a Web-based meeting application. Using this application, we connect via the Internet and "share" screens and information.
  
  
• Web-based training for up to six staff members per session. Call for pricing.
  
  
• Web-based training allows for focused, two-hour sessions on specific aspects of the system. Because training doesn't last an entire day, it can feel less overwhelming. Web-based training is convenient, as staff members can typically be trained without leaving their desks. Since we share screens via the Internet, this approach also utilizes your data.

How do you know which kind of training to choose?

• First, think about your needs. Is your training requirement time sensitive? In-person training, either Client-site or HLS-site, is generally scheduled four to eight weeks in advance. (You may want to check the status of your training room to ensure availability). Web-based training is generally scheduled one to three weeks in advance. Do you have new staff who need comprehensive training? The concentrated approach of in-person training may be better suited to orienting new staff. If you need advanced training on specific functions, Web-based training may be a more appropriate option.
  
  
• Next, consider the relative costs. If you have a number of people who need comprehensive training, Client-site training may be an appropriate approach. If you utilize a "train-the-trainer" methodology, HLS-site training in San Diego may make sense. Web-based training is the most cost-effective approach.
